Meet ABENA AI

This is my first look at Abena AI, a voice-based assistant that supports Ghanaian languages such as Twi, Ewe, Dagaare, and Dagbani. Here are my thoughts on whether it is worthwhile to spend your time on it.

Mobobi Studios, a Ghana-based app company, has released Abena AI, a Twi artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistant app.
This one-of-a-kind virtual assistant software understands and responds to your Twi speech.
The software, which was initially published on April 6, has already received a large number of downloads on Google Play.
The software now only supports Twi, but the makers have said that other languages will be added in the future.
Abena AI was inspired by Apple’s Siri voice assistant, giving it the moniker ‘Twi Siri,’ and it is designed to function without the need of the internet.
